  • What do you use for carpet cleaning?

At Happy Clean, we are professionally trained for cleaning all types of carpet. We use ECO friendly products and extremely powerful machines. All our chemicals are safe for kids and pets, and smell fresh.

  • How long does it take to dry?

Average drying time for carpet is 4-6 hours. This depends on level of humidity, type of carpet and level of soil.

  • Can you remove all stains?

We can never guarantee to remove all stains, as some may be permanent, but we always do our best! Some stains such as blood and urine should be tackled within the first 24 hours. We recommend not using any off the shelf products as if they are not strong enough they will just block the stain in. Cleaning with fresh water should be enough and then make sure you organise a professional cleaning.

  • Do I need to vacuum before you come?

NO, you don’t need to vacuum the carpet in advance as we will do it anyway. Most domestic vacuum cleaners are not powerful enough as to remove all the dust and debris. We use extremely powerful vacuums and we never ask you to do this in advance.

First, please be at home or organise for someone to let us in. If you can hold a parking space for us, it would be very helpful. We work around the heavy furniture, so please have the rooms as clear as possible. Also, we would appreciate if you could give us access to hot water, but it’s no problem if not!

  • will carpet cleaning remove pet hair and pet odour?

Yes, we can remove pet hair thanks to our very powerful equipment. For pet odours, we use neutralisers and deodorisers that will remove any bad smells.

  • can you give me a price over the phone?

Yes, in most cases, especially for residential work, we can give you a price over the phone. For commercial premises, we usually need to send someone over to have a look, but we can give you an estimate based on a video of the carpet.

  • How long in advance should I make an appointment?

We have a waiting time of 2-4 days, so that should be enough notice if you are flexible for times and days. If you prefer a specific day and time we recommend getting in touch a week before. Please note that November and December are our busiest months so we recommend making appointment from September/October.

  • How often should I get my carpet cleaned?

We recommend getting your carpet cleaned twice per year, or every 4 months if there is a lot of traffic or many occupants in the house.

  • Is it recommended to apply a stain protector after the cleaning?

Yes, we recommend applying a stain protector after the cleaning. This will extend the time between the cleanings, and also give you the chance to wipe off a spill before it penetrates the carpet and turns into a stain.

  • How many people will come and are you insured?

All our staff are trained and we are insured. Usually there will be one or two technicians coming, depending on the job. All our agents will be wearing branded uniforms, shoe covers and gloves.

  • What is the best way of contacting you?

We are not perfect, and because we are so busy, sometimes we miss your calls. We always try to call back all our customers within the same day. If we don’t take your call, please send us a text message, Whatsapp message or Facebook message and we will reply to you within minutes.
